Kavach is a dedicated safety wearable from India, built by ARCG Private Limited in Hyderabad. The Kavach Band is a 28 gram wristband with its own 4G connection and GPS. It never pairs with a phone: pressing the button for three seconds sends an SOS with the wearer's position to every emergency contact, and the family follows the band on a live map in the free Kavach Care app for iPhone and Android. The band reports its position every ten minutes, every minute in live mode, raises a fall alert from a built-in sensor, and tells the family the moment it leaves the wrist. It has no speaker or microphone and cannot record audio. Kavach is designed for elderly parents, children and pilgrims in crowds, with the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027 as the first planned field pilot. The band is at prototype stage. Pre-orders are open at ₹5,999 with no payment until shipping, and no public launch date has been announced. ARCG Private Limited was incorporated on 5 September 2026 and is founder-led and women-led.

What is true today, and what we ask you not to say

We removed every claim from our own site in September 2026 that the hardware could not meet. Please hold us to the same standard. In particular: Kavach is not "India's first" anything, has no launch date, and has not been deployed at any Kumbh Mela.

  • The band works without a phone, on its own 4G SIM, and never pairs over Bluetooth.
  • SOS reaches every emergency contact by push notification and email through the Kavach Care app.
  • The band has a fall sensor. It raised a fall alert in our own testing on 14 October 2026. It is not independently certified, so please say "tested", not "certified".
  • Up to 24 hours on a charge; about 10 hours with GPS reporting every 10 minutes. It is a charge-daily device.
  • Sealed against rain, sweat and handwashing. No IP rating is published because immersion testing is not complete.
  • The band needs a mobile signal to send an SOS. There is no SMS fallback and no offline mode.
  • Only prototype units exist. Nothing has been sold, shipped or deployed at an event.

Logos

The shield and the wordmark are the only two marks. Keep clear space of at least the shield's width around them, do not recolour them, and do not set them beside the Indian Railways Kavach logo, which readers confuse with ours. Brand orange is #FF7A00 in print and #F97316 on screen.
